Dr. Mahesh Damodhar Mahendrakar
He is currently working as an Associate Scientist at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Hyderabad. He holds a PhD in Plant Genetics from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has over 12 years of rich research experience in conducting breeding experiments and developing improved varieties of crops like pearl millet and chickpea. His expertise includes molecular plant breeding techniques like marker-assisted selection, QTL mapping and association mapping. He has published 18 research papers in reputed international journals with a total citation of over 445 and an h-index of 10. He has experience in reviewing scientific manuscripts for various peer-reviewed journals. He is skilled in data analysis using tools like R, SAS and managing large genomic datasets.
